ghana-146WHAT: Join us for a night of great company, music, beer & wine, appetizers, and a silent auction, as we explore the world-changing potential of microfinance. Seattle’s award-winning Serafina will provide appetizers and Batholomew Komoah will entertain with traditional Ghanaian music.

WHEN: Thursday July 23, 2009 7-10 pm

WHERE: BoConcept Design Studio 901 Western Avenue Seattle, WA 98104

WHY: After a successful year of inspiring and supporting entrepreneurs in rural Ghana, Lumana is expanding its operations. This event is part of our effort to raise awareness and funds for our 2009 Pilot Project.

COST: Tickets are $35 ($25 for students), includes appetizers, beer & wine, entertainment, and the opportunity to be a part of Lumana’s drive for social entrepreneurship! Each ticket sale will directly fund 1/3 of a loan for a Ghanaian entrepreneur as well as entrepreneurship training, a savings account, and an opportunity to work with a local mentor to expand their business to new markets.

    We are also honored to have Aze Malawo as our guest speaker for the evening. Aze, native of West Africa, is a development professional, member of the African Union and also just returned from the G-8 conference in London where she organized a workshop on African women in development.
