Founded in 1994, Global Partnerships (GP) is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization whose mission is to expand opportunity for people living in poverty in Latin America. We invest socially motivated capital to support the growth of microfinance institutions (MFIs), thereby enabling the poor to expand their incomes and improve the lives of their families. We also seek innovative opportunities to increase the impact of microfinance through deeper outreach to underserved groups and provision of complementary services such as health care and education. With offices in Seattle, Washington and Managua, Nicaragua, GP currently has $34 million invested in 21 MFI partners in six countries reaching 610,000 microborrowers. GP anticipates 300% growth in the next 36 months.

The Investment Performance Officer will be responsible for managing the collection of data from GP’s MFI partners, the production of a range of reports on the business and social performance of the MFIs, and the response to needs of various stakeholders who rely on this information to make decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis efforts of GP’s team of performance analysts based in Managua.
• Ensure on-time, accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the MFIs.
• Distribute reports to relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and coordinate team follow up on questions and issues related to MFI performance.
• Monitor MFI compliance with contractual obligations and ensure appropriate communication with MFIs regarding compliance, in collaboration with Investment Operations team.
• Participate in MFI field visits with Managua-based performance analysts from time to time.
• Assist Director of Investment Performance to identify MFIs with challenges and opportunities appropriate for intervention or participation in other GP initiatives.
• Support development & implementation of social impact assessment methodology.
• Assist Director of Investment Performance & Chief Investment Officer with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
• Minimum two years of experience in the microfinance field, including experience in MFI analysis; other experience in finance or accounting a plus
• Attention to detail with big picture perspective on business and social performance
• Proven ability to lead teamwork
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• Fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written
• Passion for GP’s mission and desire to learn about our work
