6% Returns on Microfinance Investment

Last month we posted about the 5% security that Microplace.com was offering, and how, at that rate of return, we felt that Microplace.com would start tapping into small to medium size investors looking for a good investment.

I received a note last night from the folks at Microplace informing me that the 5% security is nearly sold out and that a new 6% security funding microfinance in Nicaragua is now available. Well, I’m willing to say that whatever was true about my speculation regarding the 5% security applies to the 6% security, only to a greater degree. In other words, if 5% was enough to attract financial returns-minded investors, than 6% will draw in even more.  Here’s a photo of one of the borrowers from their publicity on the new security:
