World Affairs Council of Seattle hosts LIVE Webcast of Innovation, Education, and Leadership in Africa: Building Blocks for Development
Featuring exclusive remarks from Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

On Thursday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. (PST) the World Affairs Council of Seattle presents leadership and alumni from Ashesi University in Ghana for a panel discussion on fostering innovation and ethical leadership in Africa with the goal of sustained development on the continent. Representing a diversity of expertise and backgrounds, panelists will provide an engaging discussion on their experiences in working for progress in Africa. Included on the panel are:

  • Patrick Awuah, Ashesi University in Ghana
  • Peter Woicke, former Managing Director for the World Bank
  • Aba Ackun, Risk Manager for Accion International (Microfinance) in Ghana
  • Araba Amuasi, Operations Manager for Village of Hope Orphanage and School in Ghana
  • Featuring exclusive video remarks from Bill Gates, Co-Chair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
