Ten Microfinance Organizations Hiring Right Now

Are you interested in working in microfinance? Are you willing to pack up your bags and move across the country or around the world? Here are ten microfinance organizations that are hiring right now:

1. FINCA
With roots in Latin America in the early ’80s, FINCA has spread to Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Currently, FINCA has more than two dozen job opportunities posted on its site.

2.MYC4

MYC4 is a P2P lending site akin to Kiva that specializes in Africa.

3. Opportunity International

An Illinois-based charity, Opportunity International is seeking candidates for positions in their home office and in their regional offices in Africa, Mexico, and Romania.

4. AZMJ

A women owned financial services consulting firm needs to fill its Finance and Administrative Specialist position in Virginia.

5. Satin Creditcare

Based in Delhi, this Indian microfinance institution has at least a dozen job openings.

6. Frankfurt School of Finance and Management

Wanna teach? How about in Kinshasa? The Frankfurt School of Finance is opening a program there, and needs a qualified candidate for its Associate Professorship in Microfinance.

7. Grameen Technology Center

The Grameen Technology Center, based in Seattle, is seeking a program manager for its mobile banking initiative.

8. MIMOFIN

MIMOFIN is listing available jobs in three categories, all located in India.

9. PlaNet Finance

One of the leading microfinance investment vehicles has a job opportunity in China, with a duration of 18 months.

10. ACCION

And, finally, the granddaddy of them all: ACCION is currently listing two dozen jobs in Boston, India, Ghana, Colombia, China, Brazil…
