SeaMo Seeks Social Media Intern: Tweet your App By 2/20

Position: Social Media Intern

Mission statement:
Established in 2007, SeaMo’s mission is to connect the microfinance community through events, online services, and opportunities for collaboration.

Position: The Social Media Intern works with the SeaMo Board marketing committee on social media campaigns that expand the overall visibility of SeaMo, support complimentary events and highlight publication initiatives.  Specific responsibilities include:
- Collaboration on campaign design and execution
- Day-to-day content generation and management
- Research on key issues in microfinance for potential content
- Continuous evaluation of SeaMo social media marketing efforts.
- Thought-leadership on how SeaMo can maximize exposure through Social Media channels

This role reports directly to the Marketing Chair, liaising regularly with the Executive Director and Board President.

Requirements:
- Requires a commitment of 10-20 hours/month, including bi-weekly meetings with the SeaMo marketing committee
- Education or experience with organizational social media efforts
- Good Communication Skills
- Solid Writing Skills
- Top-Notch Social Skills
- Enthusiasm!
- Understanding of Microfinance and willingness to learn FAST

Term:
The internship runs from March 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011

Remuneration:
This is an unpaid internship position; however SeaMo will cover any program-related expenses for the position with prior approval from the Marketing Chair, and is willing to complete any requisite college credit paperwork for current students. Non-students are also welcome to apply and will be given equal consideration.
