RESULTS Seattle

Many of you are familiar with Sam Daley-Harris for his work organizing the Microcredit Summit Campaign. But did you know about his earlier project, RESULTS? In their own words, RESULTS is “is a nonprofit grassroots advocacy organization committed to creating the political will to end hunger and the worst aspects of poverty.” They take the message of ending poverty to politicians and get them to make policy to that end.

In Seattle there is a local chapter of RESULTS (see the link in the right sidebar of this page), and each month they participate in the national conference call. This month’s call is on Saturday September 13th at 11:00am and will feature Ingrid Munro. If you are interested, please RSVP to Bob Dickerson, chapter president of RESULTS Seattle.

  1. I got to listen to Ingrid Munro talk about Jamii Bora when she was in town about a year ago and I would definitely recommend calling in for anybody who is interested to hear about Jamii Bora, poverty in Kenya or microfinance in general.
